Andy Neil

My work explores new areas of concern for me that build upon my interest in and pursuit of illusion. I pursue the establishment of pictorial space but the depictions of rocks and ancient landforms within the works carry a potential narrative.

Is it possible that there has been interference by forces other than nature? This proposition, and the intrigue and discovery it sets up is enough to hold me and to take the paintings to a conclusion that is not always obvious at the start of the process.

I bring to this a long standing commitment to quality, craft and excellence, and an attachment to drawing as a relevant and enduring intellectual process.
